The New York State Bar Association and Lawyer Referral and Information Service launched a new online service that is now open 24 hours a day and is made completely confidential.
The New York State Bar Association has approved and vetted every attorney that is provided through this service. Individuals will now be able to matched with lawyers who are approved by the New York State Bar Association and have been confirmed to be in proper legal standing. The new online portal, makes it possible for lawyers to expand their reach and lower the costs for their clients. The New York State Bar Association developed this new service in coordination with Legal.io, a national provider of corporate technology for those in the legal field.
One lawyer that offers his services through this new online portal is Jeremy Goldstein of Jeremy L. Goldstein and Associates. Those in need of legal aid simply fill out a form, detailing their legal issue and where they are from. The form is then reviewed by a panel and matched with a lawyer within their neighborhood or nearby community. Referrals are provided free of charge, but after 30 minutes of consultation with an attorney, you are charged a $35 fee.
